In India Independence Day is celebrated on 15th August of every year as a national holiday 😊 we all celebrate this festival very well (Independence Day is national festival of India)

Do you know why we celebrate Independence Day On 15th August ?

=> On 15th August "Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru" the first prime minister of India hosted the Indian National Flag On the Lahori Gate of the Red Fort in Delhi through that time on each 15th August the Prime Ministers of India has raised the Indian National Flag and given a speech.

On 7 August 1906, National Flag of India was hosted first time in Parsee Bagan Square in Calcutta.

The flag was composed of three horizontal strips

Red

Yellow &

Green

The red strip was having eight white lotuses embossed on it. The green strip was having a white sun on the left and a white crescent also star on the right of the Flag.

The current flag is of three colours first one is of saffron colour which stands for courage & sacrifice, The Middle strip is of White colour that stands for peace, truth, and purity and the last one is of green colour which stands for faith, fertility, and chivalry. Also, the Ashok Chakra on middle stands for righteousness.
